The England star has found first team opportunities hard to come by over the course of the past couple of season as he has got older, and he often featured in a deeper role under both Louis van Gaal and Mourinho last term.
After 13 years and an incredible club-record 253 goals, it looks as though the attacker is set to make an emotional exit from Old Trafford.
